Commencement Ceremonies
Commencement Ceremony 1: Friday, May 8th (Scheduled time is TBA)
Student graduates and programs that will be participating in this ceremony will be announced in mid-April.
***Important: Graduates that indicated “Yes” on their May graduation application will be sent notice in mid-April to their SWTX Office 365 email which will provide which ceremony and time they will be participating in.

Uvalde County Fairplex Arena Entry and Guest Seating ***PLEASE READ***
All guests, including graduates, will enter the facility through the main front doors. All guests will go through security checkpoints/metal detector prior to entering and a "clear bag" policy will be enforced. All seating in the stands will be general seating for everyone.
Commencement Regalia
Cap and gown can be purchased at the college bookstore. Only regalia (stoles, cords, etc.) that have been issued by the college will be permitted at the ceremony. No custom or other regalia items will be permitted.Media and Photos
The college Public Relations staff will be covering the event exclusively during the ceremony and will also broadcast live via Facebook and YouTube (Please visit the SWTX website on the scheduled commencement day/time).
No other individuals or media personnel will be permitted to enter the main stage area at ground level at any time during or after the ceremony. There will be an opportunity for graduates to take photos at the Fairplex Events Center after your respective ceremony.
The events center is located across the parking lot from the arena where the commencement ceremony is being held. The main front entrance to the events center is facing the highway that you drive in from upon arrival. Our staff will have multiple backdrops available for photos along with light snacks and refreshments.
Services for Disabilities
Limited handicap parking will be reserved and located in front of the main entrance to the Uvalde County Fairplex arena. A valid decal must be displayed in the vehicle upon arrival. The facility does have limited designated areas for seating.
Commencement Rehearsal
There will be no rehearsal prior to the ceremony. Please arrive early (1 hour before start time) and appropriately attired in your cap and gown for graduate check-in. We will have staff on hand to assist for lining up.
Diplomas
Diplomas will be mailed out in June 2026, pending that there are no institutional holds.
All Students
Candidates for graduation must clear all obligations (fines, transcripts, checked-out devices, etc.) with the college before receiving their diploma or SWTX official transcripts.
Commencement Ceremony Parking
General parking will be available all around the Uvalde County Fairplex grounds.
Food and Beverages
No food or beverages will be allowed to be brought into the facility. There will be a campus club inside the facility that will be selling water for any guests.
