Remote Student Services
Our faculty and staff are working hard to make sure you have the support you need to succeed. We are working diligently to provide our students with remote and in-person support services.
Student Success Center
The Student Success Center, accessible to all currently enrolled students, has locations in Uvalde, Eagle Pass, Del Rio, and Crystal City, with online support available for those studying off-campus. The center offers computer access, tutoring, group study sessions, quiet study areas, and graphing calculators to help students succeed.
Writing Center
As an extension of the Student Success Center, the Writing Center provides comprehensive support at every stage of the writing process. Whether students are brainstorming ideas or refining their final drafts, they can find the guidance they need at the Writing Center.
Student Success Center & Writing Center Tutoring
Tutoring is an essential resource for many of our students - our Student Success Centers and Writing Centers are committed to providing in-person and virtual tutoring sessions by appointment.
Title IX Office
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in education programs and activities. This includes protection against sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and discrimination based on pregnancy or parenting status. Our mission is to create a safe, equitable, and inclusive learning and working environment for all members of the college community.
TRiO Student Support Services
This service is a federally funded program that serves a specific student demographic, focusing on first-generation, first-generation, disabled students. Visit the SSS page for more details.
TRiO Educational Opportunity Centers
The Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC) program provides counseling and information on college admission and financial aid to qualified adults who want to enter or continue a program of post-secondary education. EOC is a federally funded program that counsels participants on financial aid options and assists in the college admission process. The goal of EOC is to increase the number of adult participants who enroll in post-secondary education institutions.
TRiO Upward Bound
Upward Bound provides low-income and first-generation high school students with academic, cultural, and personal support for high school graduation, postsecondary enrollment, and lifelong success.
Transfer & Career Center
The Transfer & Career Center at the Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde campuses assists with transfer admission applications, transfer advising, résumé/cover letter building, career assessment, mock job interviews, and hosts our campus career closets.
Cowboy Pantry
The Cowboy Pantry provides food and basic necessities to SWTX students at no cost. The Cowboy Pantry aims to decrease the impact that food insecurities have on the academic success of our students.
DHSI VIDA
The SWTX Developing Hispanic Serving Institution (DHSI) project, called VIDA (Values, Identity, Diversity, and Advocacy), includes improving academic and student support services for underserved students to meet social, emotional, and academic needs and to increase the access, affordability, completion, and post-enrollment success of underserved students.

SWTX is dedicated to the health, safety, and well-being of our college community and encourages faculty, staff, and students to report matters of concern.
Emergency Aid Application
The Emergency Aid Program provides timely financial assistance to students experiencing unexpected hardships that threaten their ability to continue their education. Support may include direct payments to vendors or students for essentials such as tuition, utilities, transportation, housing, or food.
Disability Support Services
Disability Support Services (DSS) provides a broad range of services to ensure that every student receives equal access to both an education as well as all aspects of campus life. DSS strives to provide services that will enable students to participate fully in university life and ensure that a person with a disability will not, on the basis of that disability, be denied full and equal access to academic and co-curricular programs.

Carl D. Perkins Assistance
The Carl D. Perkins grant assists qualified students enrolled in technical programs. Qualified career and technical education students are eligible to receive funds for student support services under Public Law 101-392.
eCashier
eCashier is an online payment program to help students finance their education. Students who choose to use this service may select installment plans that are spread over several months, depending on the length of the semester.
