Ventanilla de Orientación Educativa

Misión / Mission Statement

El objetivo de la Ventanilla de Orientación Educativa en SWTX es otorgar orientación y asesoría educativa para el empoderamiento de la comunidad a través de la educación. La VOE informa a la comunidad sobre becas y programas educativos, y da asesoría acerca de la oferta educativa en México y EUA, organizando foros, talleres y pláticas informativas en las sedes consulares mexicanas y dentro de la comunidad.

The objective of the VOE at SWTX is to provide guidance and advice for the empowerment of the community through education. The VOE informs the community about scholarships and educational programs, and provides advice about the educational offers in Mexico and the US, organizing forums, workshops and informative talks at Mexican consular offices and within the community.

Lectura para niños de preescolar / Reading for preschool children

El 23 de agosto de 2021 a las 10:00 a.m., en colaboración con el centro de educación Kids are First Head Start: Las Colonias, se realizó una lectura virtual en español dirigida a niños entre 3 y 5 años de edad, con la finalidad de fomentar la lectura en español en la comunidad infantil de la ciudad de Eagle Pass, Texas.

On August 23, 2021 at 10:00 am, in collaboration with the Kids are First Head Start: Las Colonias education center, a virtual reading was held in Spanish for children between 3 and 5 years of age, to promote reading in Spanish.

Evento, “Back-to-School” / “Back-to-School” Event

El martes 24 de agosto de 2021 de 10:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m., con la colaboración de la Biblioteca Pública de la Ciudad de Eagle Pass, se llevó a cabo el evento denominado: “Back-to-School”, en modalidad “Drive-thru”. Durante dicho evento diversas agencias de salud, educación y finanzas otorgaron información sobre sus servicios, así como materiales escolares para los niños de nuestra comunidad.

On Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the collaboration of the Public Library of the City of Eagle Pass, the event: “Back-to-School” was held, in “Drive-thru” modality. During this event, various health, education and financial agencies provided information about their services, as well as school materials for the children of our community.

El jueves 26 de agosto de 2021 a la 1:00 p.m, las estudiantes del centro de educación para adultos de Southwest Texas Junior College, Olga Morales y Amanda Gonzales, nos comparten su aprendizaje con una lectura en ingles del libro "Officer Buckle and Gloria".

Conferencia virtual: Programas gratuitos de educación para adultos / Virtual Conference: Free Programs for Adult Education

El miércoles 25 de agosto de 2021 se realizó la conferencia virtual denominada: “Programas gratuitos de educación para adultos”, se contó con la participación de la Supervisora y Maestra del centro de educación para adultos de Southwest Texas Junior College, Minerva P. Bernal, quien compartió con la audiencia información importante sobre los programas que ofrece el centro, clases de inglés para adultos y preparación para el diploma de preparatoria abierta de EE. UU.

On Wednesday, August 25, 2021, the virtual conference called: "Free adult education programs" was held, with the participation of the Supervisor and Teacher of the adult education center of Southwest Texas Junior College, Minerva P. Bernal, who shared with the audience important information about the programs offered by the center, English classes for adults and preparation for the US Open High School Diploma.
