All Campus Closure: To honor the memory of Board President Dr. Harry O. Watkins and allow college employees to attend the memorial service, Southwest Texas College will delay opening until 2:00 pm on Monday, October 19, 2026.

All college classes and services scheduled before 2:00 pm will be canceled. Classes and normal college operations will resume at 2:00 pm.

Academic Calendar Dates

The academic calendar reflects important student semester dates, deadlines, and holidays scheduled for all campus locations. Revisions may occur as needed by official action of Southwest Texas College.

Official Census Date - 6th Class Day

The official enrollment date (6th Class Day) for the Fall 2026 2nd 8 Week Semester is Monday, October 19th.

Academic Calendar

Application Deadline - Fall Graduation

Students eligible to graduate must submit an application for graduation by Friday, October 23rd at 4:00 pm using their SWTX Self-Service. The Self-Service application is the only method that will be accepted to apply for graduation (no paper application, email, etc.) All students should visit with their SWTX Success Coach for a review of their degree plan prior to submission. Withdrawal Deadline

The last day to drop a class with a “W” for the Fall 2026 16 Week and 2nd 8 Week Semesters is Monday, November 16th, at 6:00 pm. To complete the Class Withdrawal Form, please download the form to your computer and enter your information into the fillable fields. Once you have completed the form, save your changes and schedule an appointment with your Success Coach to get it signed before submitting it to the Office of the Registrar. Class Withdrawal Form
