CNSE 1041 - Earth Moving Equipment Operation - Instruction in the operation of track and rubber tire earth moving equipment including preventive maintenance and minor repair. Students will be able to complete preventive maintenance procedures; operate earth moving equipment; and make minor repairs to earth moving equipment.
CNSE 1021 - Job Site Layout and Development - Study of the general principles of job site layout and development used by heavy equipment operators in the construction industry. Topics include plan reading, survey techniques, external considerations, and trade conventions. Students will be able to lay out reference points and establish building lines in accordance with plans; use leveling instruments in establishing grades and elevation; and list the considerations associated with site layout including codes, utilities, and environmental concerns.
